Why email patients?
Emailing patients through PatientChase means free and informative messages to patients.
NHSMail email addresses (which you use in PatientChase) are also considered highly secure.
As well as sending emails as invites to patients, consider using emails as a method to remotely collect information from patients.
This means that you can collect readings/values/answers during times when it’s difficult to invite patients in and when indicators can be targeted remotely.
Information such as smoking status, alcohol consumption, blood pressure readings etc. These can be emailed back by patients to a central email in the surgery.
This previous blog gives ideas on how this would work.
Collecting patient email addresses
Consider sending a bulk SMS through PatientChase to patients (whom you do not have an email for) asking for them to send their email addresses to a central surgery email from where they can be inputted into their records.
Using PatientChase's Email Editor
Now PatientChase has a built in email editor which helps you create html email templates which are much better to email than Word templates. They convert better in emails to patients.
To access the email editor, go to Admin>Edit>AnnualReviewViaEmail.html>Open.
Edit the template however you wish then go to File>Save As>Html document and name the template. Then close the Email Editor.
Your email template in html format is now ready to send through PatientChase.
