The Simple Way of Connecting Patients to Practices.

About PatientChase

PatientChase is an EMIS Web accredited partner product that simplifies and automates all aspects of patient recall, enabling a practice to identify patients, communicate with them and audit all the contact made with them. PatientChase helps practices save money, improve efficiency and ultimately improve the quality of care provided to patients. It will call in patients the least number of times necessary, providing greater convenience to them and also educate patients about their conditions - whilst helping to improve surgery access.

Many successful products have been launched as a result of personal frustration. This can spark the idea for an inventive solution. So it was with London GP, Raza Toosy, in 2005, a long-standing EMIS LV user who was struggling to manage his patient recall.

As he explains, “Within EMIS, recall is managed around the condition rather than the patient. So what happens if you’ve got a patient with multiple conditions? They’re brought in to the practice multiple times, are sent multiple letters and receive multiple appointments. It’s incredibly inefficient and takes time away from other work that could help improve healthcare.” Raza joined forces with his business partner, Richard Chmielowski, to help provide a solution in the form of PatientChase, a product that allows you to easily orient your recall around the patient, enabling you to prioritise those who are eligible for check-ups for long-term conditions.

The product, released on LV in 2006, was accredited on EMIS Web in mid 2012 and has been receiving great feedback, as Richard explains. “We conducted a customer survey in November and were really pleased to find that 90% of our customers would ‘highly recommend’ PatientChase to others. This was combined with a 96% satisfaction rate on support, which vindicated our hands-on customer-first approach.”

PatientChase instantly cross-references patients against any combination of registers thereby inviting them in the fewest times necessary.

Our unique algorithms personalise the mail merge to each patient explaining exactly what they need to come in for. The letters are copied and coded into EMIS. The same applies should you contact them by SMS or email. Messages to patients are fully customisable.
